Volatility - is the ability of a substance to leave one state (usually liquids) and pass into another (like a gas). An example is the evaporation of water on a hot day.
Diffusion - the ability for one substance to move through another (or through a barrier). An example, the transport of sodium across a cell wall
Surface tension - the resistance of a liquid to letting a substance "fall" though the surface. An example, a leaf floating on water is held up by surface tension.
Capillary - the ability of a liquid to "climb" up a thin tube. An example is water being wicked up into a fabric when one edge is (of the fabric) is dipping in the water

Stronger the bonding, higher the boiling point, lower volatility and stronger surface tension. This is due to it requiring more energy to break apart the molecules. Hydrogen bonding in water is a great example of a strong bond, with a relativity high bp, low volatility, and a strong surface tension
