We are required to memorize the name and symbol of all naturally occurring elements on the periodic table. Any suggestions for making it easier to memorize?

if it's just the name and symbol then all you need to do is memorize the symbols since most of them are the first letter or two of the actual element. There are some exceptions though such as Pb (lead) so be careful and keep that in mind. If you practice using the elements a lot they just stick in ur head.

Haha.. same with me...

I have a task to memorize periodic table! It is for tomorrow,, and i do it just today...

For me..

I make stories for each column..

For example.. in the ninth B column (cobalt can be used in magnet and attract other things > rhodium used in jewellery and it is attractive > iridium, "iri" means "jealous" in Indonesian, jewels can make others jealous of it > meitnerium, it sounds like "mountain", so i imagine that we must climb a mountain which means we must strive to have something we like^^

Haha.. i know this sounds silly... but every1 is different... maybe u can also try to sing each of the elements name, or try to type:

periodic table elements in google, and open the one from photobucket, u can see many pictures in the table and i think it helps you to memorize...

HTH!^^
