What is carbon footprint and how can i trace my own?

I was wondering what carbon footprint was because i have to do a lab on it by tracing my own carbon footprints. What is it and how can I trace my own?

A carbon footprint is your impact on global warming. Its baisically tracing the amount of gas emissions you use. This includes lighting, computers (=S), gas, fires and appliances. Everything electrical, gas or fire related burns up fossil fuels which contribute to global warming (eg melting ice caps, droughts, floods, severe storms. )

ok a carbon footprint is how much energy you use. i dont know what a lab is cuz i am only in 6th grade, i think you trace it like this... you keep track of how much energy you use by like writing it down or somthing. I would tell my teacher to keep his/her liberal bias out of the classroom! your carbon footprint is your part of contributing to global warming according to most democrats. there are websites that will calculate your carbon footprint, and then ask you to PAY them, REAL money in order to clear your carbon conscious. The first answer it just stupid. A carbon foot print refers to our impact on the world with pollution. The amount of pollution you cause is called a carbon foot print. You can't trace a carbon foot print of your own making. The pollution mixes with all the pollution of the world making one huge carbon foot print made by humans.
